Buying the hardcover
These terms cover the printed hardcover of It Started on a Sunday bought on this website. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer. The PDF edition is sold on Gumroad under Gumroad's own terms.
Who you're buying from
David Silva, a sole trader trading as David Silva Photography.
Address: 18 Malden Rd, Cheam, Sutton SM3 8QF, United Kingdom
Email: hello@davidslv.photography
Price and payment
The hardcover costs £44.99, plus £6.99 UK delivery. That's the full price: I'm not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. Payment is taken by Stripe when you order. Your order is accepted, and our contract starts, when your payment goes through and you see the confirmation page. Stripe also emails you a receipt.
Printing and delivery
Each copy is printed to order by my print partner, Prodigi, and posted from the UK. Delivery is to UK addresses only for now and usually takes 7 to 12 working days. Please check your delivery address at checkout, because a book sent to a wrong address can't always be recovered. If your book hasn't arrived within 30 days of ordering, email me and I'll send another copy or refund you in full.
Changing your mind: 14 days to cancel
You can cancel within 14 days of the day after your book arrives, for any reason. To cancel, email me a clear statement that you want to cancel, with your name and order details. You can use the wording at the end of this page, but you don't have to.
Then post the book back to the address above within 14 days of telling me. Please send it unused and well packed. You pay the return postage. I'll refund the book price and the standard £6.99 delivery within 14 days of getting the book back, or of you showing me proof that you've sent it. I may reduce the refund if the book has been handled more than you'd need to look at it, for example if it's marked or damaged.
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with.
If something is wrong with your book
If your copy arrives damaged, misprinted or not as described, email me a photo of the problem. Within 30 days of delivery you can choose a full refund or a replacement. After 30 days I'll replace it, and refund you if a replacement doesn't put it right. You won't pay anything to return a faulty book. These are your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
To report a problem, copy this into an email and attach the photos, or open it as a ready-made email. Photos of the packaging help if the book was damaged in the post.

Your details
To take your order I collect your name, email, phone number and delivery address. Payment is handled by Stripe; I never see your card details. Your name, address, email and phone are passed to Prodigi only to print and post your book, and pass through my order system (run on Cloudflare) on the way. I keep order records in Stripe for as long as I need them for my accounts.
I'll only email you about your order, unless you chose to hear about new books and prints at checkout. You can change your mind about that at any time, and ask me to see, correct or delete your details, by emailing me.
This website
To see how the site is used, I count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics and my own anonymous reading statistics: which pages are opened, how far they're scrolled, which photographs are on screen and for how long, and which buttons are pressed, with the type of device and the country. Neither uses cookies or stores anything on your device, and no IP address or other personal detail is kept. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, my statistics don't count you at all.
The photographs
All photographs and text in the book are © David Silva. Buying the book doesn't give you the right to copy, reproduce or share them.
Complaints and law
If you're unhappy with anything, email me first and I'll do my best to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
